PM – State of Emergency to be lifted in Georgia on May 22

The State of Emergency will be lifted in Georgia on May 22 – Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said.

PM explained that the related restrictions will be cancelled all at once except of those which are essential for controlling the pandemic risks, according to epidemiologists.

PM said that the government made the decision after analyzing the epidemiological situation and will not apply to the parliament with purpose to extend the state of emergency.

The State of Emergency was declared in Georgia on March 21 and was extended once in the country.
