PM reviews ongoing projects, future plans with regional envoys, municipal mayors
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, alongside Regional Development and Infrastructure Ministers Kakha Guledani and Revaz Sokhadze, met regional state envoys, Adjara Autonomous Republic’s Government Chair and municipal mayors.
The PM congratulated them on winning municipal elections and wished them success in their future endeavours.
Irakli Kobakhidze focused on the systematic development of each municipality as one of the government’s top priorities.
The meeting touched on the 10-year development strategy for 2026-2035 and engagement of municipalities in the elaboration of the document. The PM underscored that the population’s needs should be taken into account when working on new initiatives.
Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized the importance of conscientious implementation of ongoing projects in the regions and called on state governors and municipal mayors to actively monitor ongoing works.
Irakli Kobakhidze spoke about the significance of close coordination between central and local governments and reconfirmed his full support for the mayors of municipalities.
Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani attended the meeting.
