PM pays tribute to WWII Veterans and fallen soldiers

The Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, commemorated the 79th anniversary of the Victory over Fascism by laying flowers at the bust of Meliton Kantaria in the Veterans Culture and Recreation Park and paying tribute to the memory of those who died in the Second World War.

The PM was accompanied by the Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze and the executive and legislative authorities members.

Irakli Kobakhidze congratulated the World War II veterans gathered in the park on the anniversary of the victory over fascism.

According to a decree issued by the Georgian Government, World War II veterans will receive one-time social assistance of GEL 2,000, and family members of those who died in the war will receive GEL 1,000.
