PM on opposition: Two weeks to go; focusing on foreign officials in foreign capitals risks losing elections
“There are two weeks left before the elections, and at this time some are in America, some in Brussels, some in Berlin,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze commented on opposition figures travelling abroad.
According to the Prime Minister, these actions are motivated by foreign interests.
“When we say they are pursuing foreign interests, they might be surprised. With just two weeks remaining before the elections, some are in America, some in Brussels, some in Berlin. You can interpret for yourself whose interests they are serving and whose support they are relying on. These are not Georgian people; they are bureaucrats in different capitals, and that is why they are losing.
When your focus is not on your own population, your own people, but on certain officials in this or that office, in this or that capital, naturally, you will lose all elections and all support on the streets,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
