Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has name new membership of the Georgian government at Governmental Administration today.
Three new faces will be in the government. Part of the Ministers maintains their positions:
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport – Mikheil Batiashvili;
Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development – Giorgi Kobulia;
Finance Minister – Ivane Machavariani;
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure – Maia Tskitishvili;
Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture – Levan Davitashvili;
Minister of Foreign Affairs – Davit Zalkaliani;
Minister of Internal Affairs – Giorgi Gakharia;
Minister of Justice – Tea Tsulukiani;
Minister of Defense – Levan Izoria;
Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of the Occupied Territories – David Sergeenko;
State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality – Ketevan Tsikhelashvili.
Based on structural changes, ten ministries and one office of state minister will remain in the government.
The new government will need support of 76 lawmakers to be approved. The parliament will have expressed confidence to the new Cabinet of Ministers by July 14.
