PM meets BP Regional President

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze engaged with BP Regional President to Georgia, Azerbaijan and Tukiye, Gary Jones, in talks over years-long cooperation and investment programs.

The PM remarked that BP is one of the largest investors in Georgia, bringing benefits to the country.

The conversation touched on the three major oil and gas transit pipelines passing through the territory of Georgia, as well as the significance of the Baku-Supsa pipeline and the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.

The role of the South Caucasus Pipeline Project (SCP), which will deliver natural gas from the Shah Deniz oil field to the markets of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey, was also noted.

The PM and BP Regional President reviewed the favorable investment climate in Georgia and prospects to further deepen the cooperation.

Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani attended the meeting.
