“Investment in sports is an investment in our future, in the health of our children and the development of future champions,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated at the opening of a multifunctional sports complex in Zugdidi.

Irakli Kobakhidze emphasised that developing sports creates new jobs, stimulates the economy, and has a multifaceted positive impact on the country.

“I would like to extend my special gratitude to everyone involved in bringing this vital project to life. My thanks go to the Ministry of Infrastructure, particularly Mr Revaz Sokhadze, the Municipal Development Fund, and all who contributed to the construction of this sports complex. I also wish to express my sincere appreciation to the Asian Development Bank, our long-standing and reliable partner. Once again, I thank the Asian Development Bank for its invaluable cooperation.

I believe the new Zugdidi sports complex will foster sports development in the region and across the country, nurturing many future champions. Congratulations on this milestone, and I wish peace and progress for our nation,” said the Prime Minister.
