PM Kobakhidze: Georgia and Azerbaijan repeatedly demonstrate reliability as partners, including in international energy and transport projects
“During today’s meeting, we discussed in detail issues concerning both bilateral relations and the future of the South Caucasus region as a whole,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated at a joint briefing with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The head of government highlighted the ongoing peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“In this context, we would like to welcome the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia once again. Georgia firmly supports peaceful coexistence, constructive cooperation, and new initiatives in the region. We are always prepared to contribute positively to the development of these relations if needed. We stand ready to promote dialogue and advance the peace process.
Our cooperation among the South Caucasus nations creates new prospects for the entire region. As we observe global political shifts, these developments further emphasise the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor, including the Black Sea and the South Caucasus.
As bridges connecting Asia and Europe, our countries play a vital role in terms of connectivity. In this regard, we attach great importance to the development and modernisation of transport and logistics infrastructure.
Georgia and Azerbaijan have repeatedly demonstrated that we are reliable and responsible partners, including in international energy and transport projects,” the Prime Minister affirmed.
