Georgia’s national basketball team will begin the second round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers today, August 28, facing Montenegro.

The game will take place at the Korkia-Dzhordzhikia Arena in Tbilisi and will tip off at 7:30 p.m. The match will be broadcast live by the GPB First Channel, First Channel Sport and Georgian Radio.

The Georgian players have also emphasized the importance of the upcoming encounter. Following the first qualifying round, the top three teams from Groups A and B advanced to form a six-team group. Points carried over from the first round, with Spain currently leading the standings, followed by Montenegro and Ukraine. Georgia, Portugal and Greece each have three wins and occupy the lower half of the table.
