PM Kobakhidze: Azerbaijan remains one of Georgia’s leading trading partners; we expect further deepening of trade and economic relations

“We are pleased that Azerbaijan continues to be one of Georgia’s most significant trading partners. We anticipate that our trade and economic relations will further strengthen, including through increased cooperation and investment,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated during a joint briefing with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.

As the head of government remarked, the prospects for trade and economic collaboration were a key topic of discussion during the meeting with President Aliyev.

“We are delighted that Azerbaijan remains among Georgia’s top trading partners. We look forward to further deepening our trade and economic ties, including enhanced cooperation in attracting increased investments.

We have reaffirmed our readiness to sustain high-level dialogue and to broaden cooperation across various sectors.

I am confident that our collaboration will continue to develop for the benefit of our peoples and nations, and that President Aliyev’s visit will play a particularly important role in this process.

In closing, Mr President, I would like to once again thank you for your visit to Georgia and for the personal contribution you make towards strengthening and developing the bilateral relations between our countries,” said Irakli Kobakhidze.
