PM hopes European bureaucracy will restore direct dialogue with Georgia after resuming direct dialogue with Russia
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze believes that with open statements on the need to hold direct dialogue with Russia, the European bureaucracy demonstrates double standards.
The PM responded to a question on European leaders urging a dialogue with Russia.
“The European bureaucracy is demonstrating double standards. They openly began talking about the need to hold a direct dialogue with Russia, but refuse to do the same with Georgia, based on the motive that ‘Georgia is a country with a pro-Russian or Russian government. We see how these standards downgraded in the European bureaucracy. We hope that after resuming direct dialogue with Russia, they will manage to restore direct dialogue with Georgia,” he said.
