“We are pleased that Georgia remains an attractive tourist destination for our Armenian friends. Every year, about a million Armenian tourists visit Georgia, which is an impressive number for a small country,” Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze made these remarks at the 14th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation between Armenia and Georgia.
Kobakhidze emphasized the shared commitment to attracting foreign tourists to the region, underscoring tourism’s economic significance and its role in strengthening historical ties between the two nations.
“Tourism is not only vital for our economy but also a key instrument for deepening relations between our peoples. We are committed to enhancing tourism cooperation with Armenia and actively working on joint packages and tours to attract foreign visitors. Strengthening this collaboration will increase international awareness of our countries and boost economic activity. Our team remains dedicated to advancing trade and economic ties, and we look forward to close cooperation in the future,” he stated.
