PM: Khazaradze and Japaridze once evicted others, now gov't evicted them from prison
“At one time, Khazaradze and Japaridze were evicting people from their apartments; now the government has evicted them from prison,” Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, commented on the pardon of the leaders of Lelo-Strong Georgia, Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze.
“Of course, we respect the decision of the President of Georgia. This decision reflects the government’s overall approach. Naturally, the president, in a broader sense, is also part of the government, even though he is not a member of the ruling political team. You know that at one time, Khazaradze and Japaridze were evicting people from their apartments; now the government has evicted them from prison. This contrast illustrates the difference in attitudes,” Kobakhidze stated.
