PM: European bureaucracy never condemns violence by UNM; predictable double standard
“When the UNM commit acts of violence, neither the EU Ambassador nor the entire European bureaucracy ever alienates itself from these actions. For instance, when violence is directed against journalists, it is never condemned, and so on. This is a clear double standard,” said Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, commenting on the EU ambassador Paweł Herczyński’s failure to condemn the events of October 4.
According to the PM, this is not the first attempt, and the fact that the EU ambassador acts with double standards no longer surprises anyone, which is very sad.
“This is not the first instance, when the United National Movement commit violence, neither the EU Ambassador nor the entire European bureaucracy ever alienates itself from these actions. For instance, when violence is directed against journalists, it is never condemned, and so on. This is a double standard, a classic double standard, and in this case, too, the EU Ambassador is acting with precisely this double standard, which no longer surprises anyone. This is the level to which, unfortunately, the European bureaucracy has descended today. Which is very regrettable,” the Prime Minister said.
