PM discussed key injustices facing Georgia with nearly 30 leaders at EPC
“During the European Political Community (EPC) Summit, I had the opportunity to engage with nearly 30 political leaders. We consistently address issues that are vital for our country’s future development,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told Georgian journalists in Albania.
Kobakhidze emphasised that during his speech at the roundtable, he focused on the injustices that Georgia endures—issues that must be revised.
“This summit is crucial because it provides us with a platform to exchange views and have meaningful conversations. We listened to European leaders’ perspectives on various matters, and I was able to speak with nearly 30 political leaders. Naturally, our discussions revolve around topics of great significance for our country’s progress and Georgia’s cooperation with our European partners.
We also had the opportunity to participate in a roundtable format. In my speech, I addressed a range of topics, including Europe’s development prospects from Georgia’s perspective, our views on the war in Ukraine, and attitudes toward Georgia. Most importantly, I highlighted a significant injustice facing Georgia—a situation that must change,” the Prime Minister stated.
“We engaged in conversations with President Macron, Roberta Metsola, and other leaders regarding Georgia’s development, Europe’s role, and our regional position,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze added.
Regarding the content of these discussions, the Prime Minister explained, “Since these were private conversations, we are not at liberty to disclose all details publicly. However, generally speaking, I can say that we conveyed messages outlining Georgia’s interests to President Macron, Roberta Metsola, and other European leaders.”
