Deeply shocked by the attack on former US President Donald Trump, the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze wrote on the social network.

“Deeply shocked by the attack on former US President Donald Trump. Violence has no place in politics, and we condemn it in all forms. I wish President Trump a swift and complete recovery. My thoughts are with him and his family. We stand together with the American people!” the PM wrote.

Former US President Donald Trump was shot in the ear during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. His life is not in danger. One rally participant was killed during the shooting, and two others are in grave condition. The incident occurred while Trump was addressing supporters. The FBI described the shooting as an “assassination attempt” against the former president. Authorities have identified the gunman involved in the attack against former US President as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was killed by Secret Service agents at the scene after the shooting.
