People’s Power: EU Ambassador to Georgia is completely stripped of European values he should represent
“Today, the European Union is represented in Georgia by a person who is completely stripped of the European identity and European values he should embody, just like his master—official Brussels, controlled by the ‘Deep State’,” a statement from the People’s Power party reads.
The statement further reads that “EU bureaucracy has long since dropped its mask and, on orders from the ‘Deep State,’ is now openly fighting against Georgia’s sovereignty.”
“With this letter, we wish to respond to the interview given by EU Ambassador to Georgia Pawel Herczyński to the newspaper Batumelebi, which contains numerous inaccuracies, political speculations, and outright lies regarding issues important and sensitive to society and, most importantly, concerning Georgia’s European future.
For politicians and the vast majority of society, it has long been clear that Pawel Herczyński is a representative of the ‘Deep State’—that is, the global war party—whose main task is to create problems for the sovereign government of a sovereign country and to facilitate the return to power of agents of the ‘Deep State,’ the same global war party.
From the day of his appointment as ambassador to Georgia, Pawel Herczyński has served precisely this purpose, as evidenced by his numerous statements and actions. The so-called ambassador is, in reality, part of the opposition operating in Georgia, controlled and financed from abroad, which has nothing to do with diplomacy and has exceeded the competence and authority of an ambassador through his actions and statements since the day of his appointment.
What diplomacy can we speak of, setting everything else aside, when Pawel Herczyński openly supported the opposition during the 2024 parliamentary elections?!
One way or another, today, the European Union is represented in Georgia by a person who is completely stripped of the European identity and European values he should embody, just like his master—official Brussels, controlled by the ‘Deep State.’
EU bureaucracy has long since dropped its mask and, on orders from the ‘Deep State,’ is now openly fighting against Georgia’s sovereignty.
U.S. President Donald Trump speaks openly about the threat from these forces, directly stating that America will destroy the ‘Deep State’ or the ‘Deep State’ will destroy America. Similarly, former British Prime Minister Liz Truss says they want to destroy the ‘Deep State’ that governs Britain and is older and more widespread than the American one. Let us also recall the statement by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, according to whom they are fighting an organized group called the Soros Empire, which paid civil society organizations to attack Hungary’s legal system and conducted illegal activities against Hungary. According to his statement, the European Union cannot be a financial network created to weaken national governments,” the People’s Power statement reads.
People’s Power declared that “it is precisely official Brussels and Pawel Herczyński, appointed by them, who finance and support the radical opposition, as well as the so-called non-governmental and media organizations responsible for radical processes aimed at dividing society, mutual confrontation, and political destabilization, which must end, at any cost, with the overthrow of the government.”
“It is noteworthy that the EU Embassy, which for years has been one of the main financiers of these organizations, not only took no responsibility but did not even condemn the hate and threat campaigns of the organizations they funded. Moreover, through its attitude and policy, the EU Embassy gave and continues to greenlight the hate and threat campaigns, violence, and hatred conducted by their funded organizations.
Against this backdrop, the ambassador’s talk about wanting to stabilize the processes taking place in Georgia is, of course, a complete farce because, in practice, they encourage radicalization themselves.
By showing solidarity with violence, these forces provoke further violence in Georgia. Thus, on one hand, they try to protect their own agents, and on the other hand, they fight against Georgian justice and sovereignty.
How can we not mention here the catastrophic resolution adopted by the European Parliament regarding Mzia Amaglobeli and the shameful spectacle held in the European Parliament building, as well as the EU Ambassador to Georgia’s attempt to label Mzia Amaglobeli as a ‘symbol of journalistic courage’ and deceive society, as if Mzia Amaglobeli was arrested for journalistic activity when all of Georgia saw with their own eyes how Mzia Amaglobeli physically assaulted a law enforcement officer.
Judge for yourselves how much license European ‘friends’ give themselves when they demand that the Georgian people consider Saakashvili, Nika Melia, Mzia Amaglobeli, and others as political prisoners!
This is an insult to our country and our people, and we are simply obligated to give them a proper response!
The fact is that in the European Parliament, they pursue an anti-Georgian policy directed against Georgia and the Georgian people! Official Brussels openly fights and opposes the Georgian government.
Despite all this, everyone can clearly see that Georgia pursues a policy of patience. True, any state would have long ago expelled from the country an engaged, undesirable person like Pawel Herczyński, an agent of the ‘Deep State,’ but considering the existing situation, we consciously do not demand his expulsion because such a decision would not bring positive results, since European bureaucracy is in such a deplorable state that instead of Herczyński, they might send an even worse cadre as ‘ambassador.’
Returning to Pawel Herczyński’s interview, directly or indirectly, he repeatedly emphasized as if Mate Devidze, convicted of attacking a police officer, and Mzia Amaglobeli, arrested for physically assaulting a law enforcement officer, have had their freedom unlawfully restricted. This is, of course, a sweet lie, which he knows well, just as he knows how strict the legislation of European countries is, including in cases of committing crimes against law enforcement officers and what type of responsibility accompanies such actions.
Pawel Herczyński also lies when he tries to present the situation as if the lion’s share of EU funding in Georgia went to implementing infrastructure projects and direct state assistance, when we all know well that the main part of EU and member countries’ funding went to financing so-called non-governmental and media organizations that serve their interests and are loyally disposed toward them—precisely those people who represent part of the radical opposition and have received the task of overthrowing the government at any cost.
This is exactly why Mr Herczyński is upset about the transparency and FARA laws adopted by the government because these legal mechanisms are the main hindering factor for them to constantly and secretly finance organizations and subjects that serve their political interests.
As for Georgia’s EU membership, which, as Pawel Herczyński said, is suspended because the Georgian people want Europe while the government is moving further and further away from the European Union.
Of course, this is also a sweet lie. First of all, the ambassador’s attempt to separate the people from the government is absurd, given that since 2012, the Georgian Dream has had the unwavering support of the majority of the population. Besides this, Georgia’s EU membership was made real precisely by the Georgian Dream government, which, through labour and dedication, achieved all the benefits that Georgia’s population enjoys today.
However, as it turned out, as soon as the situation in the region became tense, official Brussels tried to use Georgia’s European aspirations as a tool and used it as a weapon to blackmail the government. And when they failed to achieve the desired result and unconditional obedience from the government, it was precisely they who, completely unjustly, froze Georgia’s progress on the path to EU membership and blamed this on the Georgian government.
In parallel, official Brussels does everything to ensure that representatives of the Georgian government are practically demonized. Ambassador Pawel Herczyński himself speaks about this in the interview:
‘Imagine how friends, family members, and society will look at someone sanctioned by the European Union. Therefore, we take the issue of sanctions extremely seriously.’
Against this backdrop, the ambassador is upset that the ruling team supposedly threw the European Union under the bus and insulted European politicians. In reality, society can clearly see that through their actions and policies, it is precisely the EU ambassador and various engaged European MPs who fueled Euroscepticism in Georgia.
Of course, this is not a healthy situation; this is not the activity that a diplomat, especially an EU ambassador, should be engaged in because all this has no connection to real European values. However, nothing is surprising in this because today we have relations with a European Union that is stripped of Europeanism, a European Union controlled by the global war party, the same ‘Deep State.’
However, considering everything mentioned above, it is impossible not to note one ‘positive’ aspect of Pawel Herczyński’s activity—through his example as a representative of the ‘Deep State,’ whose main interest is a state coup in Georgia, we can explain to our population the catastrophic reality that reigns in official Brussels today,” the People’s Power statement concludes.
