“September proved to be the second-best month of the year for pension fund portfolios. The positive performance was driven by robust growth in international equity markets, supported by the Federal Reserve’s interest rate cut and a stable geopolitical climate.

The dynamic portfolio, which holds the highest proportion of international equities among the portfolios, increased by 2.56% in September. Meanwhile, the balanced and conservative portfolios saw rises of 1.98% and 1.47%, respectively.

Year-to-date returns for all three portfolios remain impressive:

  • Dynamic – 12.0%
  • Balanced – 10.3%
  • Conservative – 8.9%

Notably, since the inception of the dynamic portfolio on June 6, 2023, August has been the leading month in terms of annualised income, with a return of 14.5%. The balanced and conservative portfolios posted figures of 13.2% and 11.9%, respectively.

By the end of September, the Pension Fund’s assets exceeded GEL 7.7 billion, with generated income surpassing GEL 2.0 billion,” the Pension Fund’s data concludes.
