Parliament's Temporary Investigative Commission to question Giorgi Gakharia remotely on July 2

Parliament’s Temporary Investigative Commission will question Giorgi Gakharia remotely on July 2. Commission chairperson Tea Tsulukiani announced on Monday.

Tsulukiani noted that the commission does not refuse Gakharia’s remote participation, “but he must ensure normal conditions and contribute to the full-fledged conduct of the session.”

Remarked on the party’s letter requesting that commission allow Gakharia to testify remotely on July 2 at 11:30 a.m., Tsulukiani said, “This is now the second letter informing us of his refusal to show up, explaining why he cannot and will not come. We, including myself, understand why he departed the nation after a subpoena was personally delivered to his home, and he did not inform our representative that he intended to leave the country.”
