Nika Gvaramia: UNM and Saakashvili launched relentless campaign against Ahali party

“I have no idea who is running an anti-Misha campaign. The only thing I can say is that the United National Movement and, unfortunately, Mikheil Saakashvili himself, have been relentless in their attacks against the Ahali party and its leadership,” stated Nika Gvaramia, one of the leaders of the Opposition Alliance.

Gvaramia claims that these attacks are now happening almost every single day.

“I have already told you regarding this matter that we will not respond, simply so we don’t give anyone ammunition to say anything further. I don’t know who has damaged what, but if I were in the UNM’s shoes, I wouldn’t have such an overinflated opinion of myself or my role in human history. We are all pulling our weight, and anyone who can work is more than welcome to join us. Nobody is actively motivated to damage the UNM; they are doing a perfectly fine job of destroying themselves through internal infighting,” Gvaramia declared.

When questioned about allegations that he is being blamed for the current turmoil within the Alliance, Gvaramia replied:

“I cannot answer that because I don’t quite understand that choice of terminology. However, if anyone is keeping this Alliance on its feet, including the Coalition for Change, I can tell you for a fact that it is us.”
