Parliamentary Investigation Commission to summon Gakharia again
Giorgi Gakharia, leader of the For Georgia party, will be summoned once more to appear before the parliamentary investigative commission studying the activities of the 2003-2012 government and its officials.
This decision was made by a majority vote during the commission’s recent session. Gakharia was originally scheduled to testify on June 23, following an earlier summon for June 16.
On June 22, the For Georgia party issued a statement indicating that Gakharia is currently abroad but is willing to participate remotely.
However, the investigative commission has rejected the option of remote participation.
