Parliament Speaker – We are trying our best to approximate positions so that democracy and political system continue stable functioning
We are trying our best to approximate positions so that democracy and political system continue stable functioning – Archil Talakvadze, Parliament Speaker told journalists after the second meeting held between representatives of Georgian Dream and oppositional parties.
“We do not expect that in this format, the dialogue between the political parties will be exhausted. We are ready to continue this dialogue in the Parliament of the tenth convocation.
I think political stability is in the interests of our society and country, to find more opportunities for cooperation between political parties. Our democratic reforms and parliamentary elections really give everyone the opportunity to do so, and let us seize this opportunity,” Talakvadze said.
The second meeting between representatives of Georgian Dream and oppositional parties was held at the residence of U.S Ambassador to Georgia. Kelly Degnan. U.S. Ambassador and Carl Hartzell, EU Ambassador to Georgia attended the meeting.
The first round of consultations with participation of foreign diplomats was held on November 12.
