Parliament Speaker urges everyone to mind their ‘Epstein Island’

“We see various officials resigning due to the ‘Epstein Island’ scandal. Therefore, we urge everyone to mind their ‘Epstein Island,'” said Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.

The Speaker responded to a question from a reporter: “A few hours ahead of the scheduled discussion on the Georgia issue at the Helsinki Commission, we learn that there is a scandal within the Commission. Namely, a former high-ranking official of the Helsinki Commission accuses acting members of corruption deals and financial violations, bypassing FARA. The former official speaks about particular individuals linked to the Epstein scandal. What does all this indicate?”

According to Shalva Papuashvili, this is no longer “a civilizational gap,” but “a human bottom.”

“Amid the scandal related to ‘Epstein Island’ files, we see various high-ranking officials and diplomats resigning one after another, both in the U.S. and European countries. Meanwhile, we hear criticism from those who are part of this political landscape. The only response here is that everyone should mind their ‘Epstein Island.’

It’s very hard to watch all this, what’s being revealed now, that the entire political elite was involved. This is no longer a civilizational gap, but a human bottom where, as it turns out, a large or significant part of the entire political elite, key faces, were involved,” he said.
