Parliament Speaker says no early elections to be appointed

Parliament Speaker said no early elections will be held without good reasoning. Archil Talakvadze made this statement following the consultation of the ruling Georgian Dream, the opposition parties, and EU mediator on the ongoing political crisis in Georgia.

According to Archil Talakvadze, the sides discussed crucial reforms for the country. “We advanced to the discussion of the important issues which are needed for our country’s future reforms. We focused our efforts on debating these issues and reforms,” he said.

Christian Danielsson, Personal Representative of the President of the European Council Charles Michel, held a joint meeting with representatives of the opposition and the government. The negotiations will continue on March 18.
