Parliament Speaker pledges to take Venice Commission’s remarks into account

Parliament Speaker Kakha Kuchava deemed the conclusion of the Venice Commission about the Georgian electoral reform as positive. He said the parliament would review the provided recommendations.

“The conclusion of the Venice Commission must be considered. I hope that work will continue in this regard. I know that this is a very positive conclusion and if any remarks are made, they must be taken into account,” Kakha Kuchava said.

The Venice Commission, an advisory board of the Council of Europe published the conclusion over the amended frat-project of Election Code on June 18.
