Parliament Speaker claims Commissioner Varhelyi said nothing regarding Saakashvili and Gvaramia

The only person who mentioned Mikheil Saakashvili and Nika Gvaramia at the meeting with EU Commissioner Olivér Varhelyi was a member of the National Movement, and the Commissioner said nothing about it, the Georgian Parliament Speaker told reporters.

Shalva Papuashvili reacted to the opposition’s assertions that the meeting also addressed political prisoners, de-oligarchization, and Mikheil Saakashvili and Nika Gvaramia’s release.

“The only one who highlighted this was a member of the United National Movement,” Papuashvili stated, “the Commissioner did not speak a single word on this matter.”
