The Georgian parliament has endorsed the draft bill titled “On the Fight Against Corruption” during its third reading, with a vote tally of 84 in favour.
This draft legislation prohibits individuals employed in the public service and legal entities under public law from engaging in supplementary activities or receiving remuneration for such work without the written consent of the head of the institution. This written consent will remain valid for one year.
The same principle applies to judges; however, the restriction does not extend to scientific, educational, or creative activities.
