Parliament adopts amendments to Law on Public Health

Georgian parliament backed the amendments to the Law on Public Health with 78 votes on Tuesday.

The bill extends the validity of the norms allowing the government to take all necessary organizational, legal, and other measures to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic till January 1, 2022.

According to MP Vladimer Kakhadze, the changes aim to preserve the existing legal mechanism to prevent the pandemic prevalence and manage the processes correctly.
