Over 31,000 students eligible for higher education, more than 6,500 granted state funding
According to the National Assessment and Examinations Center (NAEC), more than 31,700 applicants this year earned the right to continue their studies at higher education institutions, representing about 88% of all eligible candidates.
In 2025, over 11,600 applicants received funding, including more than 6,500 awarded state grants. Of these, more than 1,000 secured a full (100%) grant, over 1,400 were granted 70% funding, and more than 4,000 received 50% support.
The Center also reported that nearly 5,000 applicants were admitted to state-funded higher education programs, while more than 1,700 will continue their studies in Georgian language training programs. Among them, over 700 students received financial support.
Results of the appeals for the common master’s exam, as well as the teacher and teacher candidate exams, will be published in the coming days.
In total, 24 examination centers were opened across Georgia in 2025, registering more than 80,000 applicants. These included over 39,000 for the Unified National Exams, more than 2,400 for the student grant competition, over 10,000 master’s degree candidates for the common master’s exam, and more than 24,300 for the teacher and teacher candidate exams.
The National Assessment and Examinations Center reminded successful applicants that, to finalize their enrollment, they must contact the higher education institution where they have been admitted.
