Otar Abesadze was released on bail

Former employee of Tbilisi City Hall Otar Abesadze has been released on bail. A judge made the relevant decision a few minutes ago.

Abesadze was released on bail for 10 000 GEL.

The motion on the release was filed by the defense, which presented health examination report as a ground for the request. According to the lawyer of the defendant, the judge made a decision to release Abesadze due to his health condition.

Former employee of the City Hall Otar Abesadze was detained by officers of Anti-Corruption Agency of State Security Service on charge of bribery on July 12, 2017. According to the investigation, Abesadze took USD 3 000 as bribe. He was officially charged on July 13.
