Orthodox Christians mark Good Friday

Orthodox Christians observe Good Friday, a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary.

This day is the hardest among the days that precede Easter Sunday. No liturgies take place at the temples. The Reverend Shio will conduct church service at the Trinity Cathedral in Tbilisi. The priests read the gospel on the Lord’s passion on this day.

Believers dye eggs in red and bake Paskas.
