Opposition MP Tsitlidze believes gov't should work hard, be honest to gain Euronest countries' support
“The attitude of the Georgian government, absence of trust among our international partners and the fact that the government’s resolutions fail is damaging for the country,” said Ani Tsitlidze, opposition MP from the United National Movement (UNM) party.
According to Ani Tsitlidze, the Georgian government’s reputation is tarnished.
“You have to work so hard or be so respectable that all Euronest countries support you. I wonder why the Georgian government and Ivanishvili’s party have such a tarnished reputation that Euronest could not pass this resolution. Why didn’t they receive the support of the Ukrainians, and not only the Ukrainians, because the Moldovans also had questions,” Tsitlidze said.
Maka Botchorishvili, the Chairperson of the Georgian Parliamentary European Integration Committee, stated that the resolution on the European Perspective of Georgia and Ukraine failed to be initiated at the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly because of the opposition representatives from Georgia and the members of the Ukrainian delegation refusing to support it. The delegation comprised opposition MPs Giorgi Vashadze, Giorgi Botkoveli, Ani Tsitlidze, and Tamar Kordzaia.
