An old, amortized building collapsed in Zugdidi town, western Samegrelo region of Georgia.
A juvenile was trapped under the ruins. The rescuers took out the juvenile safe and transferred to the hospital. The juvenile’s health condition is not life-threatening.
Five IDP families lived in the building. According to the Deputy Zugdidi Mayor, Giga Parulava, some families received new flats. One planned to buy a house in the village.
The crews of the Patrol Police, Emergency Situations Management Service and First Medical Aid were called at the incident site.
