Zugdidi commemorates victims of 2008 Russia-Georgia war

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional State envoy, local authorities and civilians commemorated victims of the August 2008 Russia-Georgia war at the memorial in Central Park of Zugdidi town of the western Samegrelo region.

Thirty-seven people from the Samegrelo region lost their lives in the 2008 war.

Fifteen years have passed since the August 2008 Russia-Georgia war. Georgia commemorates heroes who died in the fight for Georgia’s territorial integrity.
