NBG President and Finance Minister meet international investors in Washington
On the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington, Natia Turnava, President of the National Bank of Georgia, and Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance, convened with international investors.
The National Bank reported that the meeting convened representatives from over 20 prominent global investment groups spanning the United States, Europe, and Asia. It aimed to deepen engagement with international investors and to showcase Georgia’s investment potential.
“The Georgian side presented investors with an overview of the country’s macroeconomic environment, its stable and manageable inflationary processes, fiscal and monetary policy, as well as the investment opportunities the country has to offer.
During discussions, it was noted that despite global uncertainty and geopolitical challenges, Georgia continues to maintain macroeconomic stability and a positive economic growth trajectory, which are factors of considerable significance for investors.
Particular attention was drawn to investment opportunities across a range of sectors, including real estate, information technology, transport and logistics, and the financial sector, which has attracted especially heightened interest.
Natia Turnava noted that investors highlighted their growing interest in Georgia during the meeting.
Also in attendance were the First Vice-President of the National Bank of Georgia, Ekaterine Mikabadze, and Deputy Finance Ministers Ekaterine Guntsadze and Giorgi Kakauridze,” the National Bank’s statement read.
