NATO-Georgia Exercise 2025 concludes

The fourth command-and-staff “NATO-Georgia Exercise 2025” has concluded at the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre (JTEC), according to the Ministry of Defence.

Colonel David Gagua, the exercise commander and head of JTEC, thanked participants and presented commemorative plaques at the closing ceremony.

The “NATO-Georgia Exercise” incorporated a field component, which demonstrated JTEC’s capabilities in command and control while enhancing coordination.

Six initiatives defined by the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP) were involved in the exercise implementation:

  • NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre (JTEC)
  • Military engineering
  • Military police
  • Military medical capability development
  • Special operations forces
  • Standardisation and codification

NATO experts observed various units of the Georgian Defence Forces to assess their compliance with NATO standards as part of the SNGP initiatives.

“NATO-Georgia Exercise 2025” was planned by NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) and the General Staff of the Georgian Defence Forces. It was conducted according to a NATO-developed scenario, following appropriate procedures and doctrines.

The multinational exercise involved 17 NATO member and partner countries, as well as several international organisations and units.
