NATO-Georgia Commission sitting to be held at NATO Summit

NATO-Georgia Commission sitting will be held on the sidelines of NATO Summit – James Appathurai, Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy and NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia exclusively told First Channel.

Discussions are being held over the format of the sitting. Appathurai said that the meeting could be held on the level of foreign or defence ministers or governmental heads and presidents.

“I believe that progress achieved by Georgia had to be appreciated. The way we have passed and how we reached to this point. Georgia has everything to prepare for future membership.

Ten years passed after Bucharest Summit and new energy should be given to our cooperation. The path chosen by Georgia is the right one. Georgian government fully uses the opportunities. The time for making the decisions will come for sure,” Appathurai claimed in an interview with First Channel.
