Georgia is mourning regarding victims of Leogrand Hotel fire in Batumi city of Adjara region.
November 27, 2017, was declared as Mourning Day at the decision of Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Georgian government.
Eleven people died as a result of the fire, which broke out at 5-star Leogrand Hotel in Batumi. Ten people are citizens of Georgia, one – Iran. More than 100 people were evacuated from the building.
The investigation is underway under Article 243 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the violation of fire safety norms.
Fire broke out at at 20:00 on November 24.
