January 17 has been declared as mourning day across Georgia according to the decision made by Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze due to the tragedy that occurred in Didi Dighomi district of Tbilisi yesterday.

State flags at all state institutions are lowered throughout Georgia.

Four people, including one child, were killed and eight others were injured as a result of a powerful explosion in Didi Dighomi district of Tbilisi yesterday.  Based on the preliminary information, the blast followed a natural gas leak on the 6th floor of the building.

The investigation into the case is underway.
