The National Environmental Agency has issued a warning to the public regarding upcoming weather conditions across Georgia.
Forecasters predict rain in western Georgia on September 30, with the possibility of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds from the second half of September 30 through the first half of October 2 in eastern Georgia.
“The anticipated precipitation may lead to a significant rise in water levels on Georgian rivers, flash floods on smaller waterways, and the activation of landslide and sandstorm processes in hilly and mountainous regions (medium danger level),” the agency stated.
