National Archives participates in EBNA conference

The National Archives of Georgia of the Ministry of Justice participated in the 51st conference of the European Board of National Archivists (EBNA).

The professional conference was organized by the Cyprus State Archive.

General Director of the National Archives Teona Iashvili held meetings with chairpersons of the International Council on Archives (ICA) and the European Branch of the International Council on Archives (EURBICA) to review cooperation prospects and the significance of experience sharing.

The Conference participants disscussed challenges, necessity to establish sustainable archive spaces, digitalization of documents, migration of archives and the role of archives in preserving cultural legacy and memory.

For the National Archives, participation in EBNA is an important professional opportunity and another step towards deepening international partnerships.
