“The 11th Convocation Parliament will approach the issues facing our citizens with an even greater commitment, as the legitimacy conferred by the Georgian people imposes a tremendous responsibility upon us,” declared Nino Tsilosani, the parliamentary majority member. Tsilosani noted that the Constitution outlines specific circumstances under which a Constitutional Court petition cannot impede political processes.

“The 11th Convocation Parliament will serve as a political body with a heightened commitment to addressing the concerns of our citizens, fully aware of the significant responsibility conveyed by the mandate of the Georgian people. We express our gratitude for the unwavering support and loyalty demonstrated by Georgian Dream voters for the twelfth consecutive year.

Concerning the opposition’s constitutional lawsuit, the Constitution clearly delineates instances in which attempts by certain individuals to file complaints with the Constitutional Court cannot interrupt Georgia’s political processes. Most importantly, such actions will not obstruct the manifestation of the Georgian people’s will. The attempts at sabotage, unfortunately, being pursued by Salome Zourabichvili and the opposition will not impede our nation’s progress,” Tsilosani emphasized.

The first session of the 11th convocation of the Georgian Parliament has been slated for November 25.
