MP Makhashvili: UNM’s radicalisation is their hallmark; hope for others to break the cycle
“The opposition’s political actions are so unclear that they are hard to follow. Meanwhile, they are encouraging each other to become more radicalised and polarised,” said Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the European Integration Committee of the Georgian Parliament.
According to Makhashvili, the opposition aims to reject elections and democratic principles, ultimately seeking to undermine their own existence as political parties.
“Their radicalisation is neither new nor unusual, and nothing is surprising about the United National Movement (UNM). This has become their hallmark and defining trait. I sincerely hope that others will have the courage and boldness to escape this cycle of radicalisation,” said Levan Makhashvili.
