National Food Agency shuts down illegal poultry slaughterhouse in Senaki

Inspectors from the Samegrelo Department of the National Food Agency have inspected a quail slaughterhouse owned by sole trader M. N. (located at No. 27, 22nd Street, Nosiri, Senaki) as part of state regulatory control measures, the agency announced.

According to the agency, the inspection revealed critical non-compliances alongside instances of quails being slaughtered without veterinary oversight. Furthermore, inspectors established that the business operator had been functioning without mandatory state recognition or registration in the Registry of Economic Activities.

“In accordance with statutory legislation, the business operator was fined, and manufacturing operations were formally suspended.

“The National Food Agency urges commercial operators to conduct their activities strictly within legal requirements, refrain from producing food products without proper recognition, and adhere rigorously to food safety standards,” the National Food Agency stated.
