MP Makhashvili points to sufficient grounds to ban UNM

“The United National Movement and its affiliated parties should be banned through the Constitutional Court. As we promised the public, we will continue this process, and it is for the Court to decide whether our evidence is truly substantiated,” stated MP Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the Parliament’s European Integration Committee.

“The most important thing is that if someone has something to say, instead of making loud statements, they should present it before the Constitutional Court. Why should it be banned? The answer lies in the materials of the temporary investigative commission. There was a violent regime that suppressed and stifled societal development. Unfortunately, this process persists today, albeit with limited resources. Thankfully, they do not have access to government resources, but they are still attempting to undermine and crush healthy political life. There are, indeed, grounds to ban this party,” Makhashvili affirmed.
