MP Makhashvili condemns propaganda violence against society, questions Poland’s role

“I have watched the first report from this channel, and it is difficult to consider it journalism, especially when it lacks impartiality. What we saw was an attempt at propaganda aimed at damaging the reputation of the church and undermining the clergy,” said MP Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the European Integration Committee of the Parliament.

He stated that such tactics are merely tools of propaganda aimed at pursuing particular interests in another country.

“We are prepared to support genuine journalism; however, these efforts not only fail to contribute positively but also stir social unrest and confrontation within the country. Such propaganda and violence against society are entirely unacceptable. For some reason, Poland appears to have found itself on the frontline of these processes: from Polish doctors to this channel. Poland seems to be at the centre of it all. Let society judge why it has such a vested interest and why it is investing so many resources in stoking social tension in Georgia,” Makhashvili added.
