MP Kavelashvili: Electronic voting ensures vote integrity, even opponents agree

Member of Parliament Mikheil Kavelashvili asserts that the information spread by the opposition, claiming that ID cards are being manipulated to rig the elections in favour of the Georgian Dream party, is false.

He noted that the pre-election environment is calm.

According to Kavelashvili, even representatives of the radical opposition are urging the population to participate in the elections, stating that the results cannot be rigged.

“With just one week left until the elections, we’ve never had such a calm environment. They [opposition] are coming forward and urging the public that falsification is impossible.

The electronic voting system protects people’s votes and makes fraud impossible, which they acknowledge. In other words, there’s no longer any reason to resort to any [illegal] actions,” Mikheil Kavelashvili declared.
