MP Mikheil Kavelashvili to be surprised by US Ambassador’s “undisguised irritation”

“It is not clear what conspiracy theories and lies Ms. Ambassador is talking about. Perhaps if she had read the letter to the end, she would not have made such a false accusation,” MP Mikheil Kavelashvili thus responded to the remark of US Ambassador Kelly Degnan to his letter.

As Kavelashvili wrote on the social network, he is surprised by the “undisguised irritation” caused by the legitimate questions asked by the lawmaker to the Ambassador.

“I carefully read the answer of Mrs. Ambassador, and I can tell you that I was surprised by the undisguised irritation (a diplomat should have more restraint) that was caused by the legitimate questions asked by me, a Georgian deputy, questions that are not only my questions, but those of my voters, I emphasize, these are also questions of Georgian voters.

It is also unclear what conspiracy theories and lies Ms. Ambassador is talking about. Perhaps if she had read the letter to the end, she would not have made such a false accusation and would have given a direct answer to the simple question I asked: are those people in Georgia or outside Georgia who called and are calling on the Georgian government for war, spreaders of FSB insidious narrative, and if so why won’t she reprimand them (not to mention the termination of their funding), something which Ms. Ambassador does a lot when it comes to Georgian Dream,” he said.

Ambassador Degnan responded to Mikheil Kavelashvili’s letter yesterday, saying that it was “full of lies and conspiracy theories”. As the Ambassador said, she could not even finish reading the letter.
