MP Kadagishvili: Lelo and Gakharia’s party achieved fewer results than in parliamentary elections; they do not speak of fraud and absurdities as have different external instructions

“The reasoning behind the recognition of the elections by Lelo and Gakharia’s party is the same; they lack political logic,” Irakli Kadagishvili, chairman of the parliamentary self-government committee, remarked.

According to Kadagishvili, during the parliamentary elections, opposition parties were externally instructed not to enter Parliament so that legitimacy through participation was not recognised.

“Today, they have realised and received new instructions from outside: if they continue along this path, they will end up like the leaders of October 4. As a result, they have shifted their stance either under external pressure or by their own choice. What’s clear is that they received only half the results and are openly acknowledging this.

Georgia Dream has achieved the same result, but they no longer speak of falsifications or absurdities, as they have throughout the past year. They have undermined themselves and caused damage, but what about the damage inflicted on Georgia? They are trying to keep the Georgian people under blackmail, threatening to annul this or that. Well, that’s over. Such harmful policies are no longer justified or acceptable in our country. I sincerely hope that certain circles in Europe will recognise this and understand that it’s time to support Georgia’s democratic development once again,” Kadagishvili concluded.
