MP Gorduladze: Nika Gvaramia and UNM gang answer only to foreign superiors, thus stand accused of treason and are unconstitutional

“Individuals like Gvaramia, Saakashvili, and Bokeria have no place left in politics,” the Chair of the Parliamentary Legal Issues Committee, MP Archil Gorduladze, has declared.

As Gorduladze noted, Nika Gvaramia and the United National Movement are openly admitting that they are controlled from abroad, at a time when the sole source of legitimate power is the Georgian people.

“Nika Gvaramia’s statement clearly shows that for him and the UNM gang, what the Georgian people think is entirely irrelevant. They are utterly dependent on foreign superiors and external governance, the likes of which was established here between 2003 and 2012. Even now, their strings are being pulled from abroad, and they openly admit that the true focus of their political activity lies outside our borders. This is happening while the only true source of authority is the Georgian public. This is precisely why they are unconstitutional and stand accused of treason against this country. People like Gvaramia, Saakashvili, and Bokeria must be removed from the political sphere entirely,” Gorduladze stated.

For context, Nika Gvaramia, a leader of the Opposition Alliance, recently wrote on social media: “The opposition’s strategy has been clearly stated: domestic protests, international sanctions, and a viable alternative.”
